Ein Semester mit Rudolph Duala Manga Bell : Konzipierung digitaler Vermittlungsformate für die Ausstellung „Hey Hamburg, kennt ihr Duala Manga Bell?“

Abstract

Es wird vom Projekt ‚Kinder ins Museum! Konzeption von digitalen und partizipativen Vermittlungsformaten für eine Ausstellung im MARKK – Museum am Rothenbaum. Kulturen und Künste der Welt‘ berichtet, welches im WiSe 2019/20 an der HAW Hamburg im Department Information stattgefunden hat. Dieses Projekt befasst sich in Theorie und Praxis mit den Themen Hamburger Kolonialgeschichte, Postkolonialismus, Museumspädagogik und Didaktik. Studierende konzipierten vier verschiedene interaktive Vermittlungsformate rund um die Ausstellung „Hey Hamburg, kennt ihr Duala Manga Bell?“ und präsentierte diese anschließend vor dem auftraggebenden Museum (MARKK) und ihren Kommiliton*innen.

This report focuses on the project Kinder ins Museum! Konzeption von digitalen und partizipativen Vermittlungsformaten für eine Ausstellung im MARKK – Museum am Rothenbaum. Kulturen und Künste der Welt (engl.: Kids into the museum! Designing digital and participative education formats for an exhibition in the MARKK – Museum am Rothenbaum. Kulturen und Künste der Welt). This project took place in the winter semester 2019/20 at the HAW Hamburg. Students of the information department learned about Hamburg’s colonial history, postcolonial studies, museum education and didactics, both in theory and practice. As a result, students came up with four different concepts for the exhibition “Hey Hamburg, kennt ihr Duala Manga Bell?” (engl.: “Hey Hamburg, do you know Duala Manga Bell?”) and presented these to both the museum (MARKK), as their client, and their peers.
