Ein besonderer Arbeitsplatz: Tätigkeit als Rechtsbibliothekarin im Rathaus

Abstract

Dass eine städtische Einrichtung über eine große juristische Bibliothek verfügt, ist ungewöhnlich. Im Fokus dieses Beitrags steht daher die Tätigkeit der Rechtsbibliothekarin Hanne Riehm an der Münchner Stadtbibliothek, die sich im Rahmen eines Interviews den Fragen der API Redaktion gestellt hat. Neben Fragen zu ihrem Werdegang bietet der Artikel Einblicke in den Berufsalltag, den Bestand, die Angebote und Arbeitsweisen der Juristischen Bibliothek sowie besondere und aktuelle Herausforderungen. Auch die Arbeitsgemeinschaft für juristisches Bibliotheks- und Dokumentationswesen, bei der sich Hanne Riehm engagiert, wird kurz beleuchtet.

It is unusual for a municipal institution to have a large law library. The focus of this article is therefore the work of the legal librarian Hanne Riehm at the Munich City Library, who answered questions from the API editorial team in an interview. In addition to questions about her career, the article gives insights into her everyday work, the holdings, offers and working methods of the library as well as special and current challenges. The AjBD - Arbeitsgemeinschaft für juristisches Bibliotheks- und Dokumentationswesen (unofficial translation: Association for Law Librarianship and Documentation), in which Hanne Riehm is involved, is also briefly examined.
