Die Gemeindebibliothek Adendorf als Begegnungsort - Einblicke in mein Praktikum

Abstract

Öffentliche Bibliotheken können insbesondere in kleinen Kommunen als wichtige Einrichtung, eine Schlüsselrolle im sozialen Leben der Gesellschaft spielen. Sie er- möglichen den Zugang zu Informationen und tragen aktiv zum kulturellen Austausch in der Gemeinde bei. Während meines studentischen Praktikums hatte ich die Gele- genheit, die Aufgaben und Angebote in einer öffentlichen Bibliothek kennenzuler- nen. Dabei konnte ich nicht nur einen Einblick in die bibliothekarische Tätigkeit gewinnen, sondern auch beobachten, wie die Bibliothek als Begegnungsort von Menschen mit unterschiedlichem Alter und Herkunft fungiert. Im Praktikumsbericht werde ich die Einrichtung vorstellen, meine Tätgkeiten und Erfahrungen aus dem Praktikum und die Bedeutung der Bibliothek als „Dritter Ort“ in der Gemeinde Adendorf reflektieren.

Public libraries can play a key role in the social life of society, especially in small communities. They provide access to information and actively contribute to cultural exchange in the community. During my student internship, I had the opportunity to learn about the tasks and services offered by a public library. This not only gave me an insight into library work, but also allowed me to observe how the library functions as a meeting place for people of different ages and backgrounds. In my internship report, I will introduce the institution, reflect on my activities and experiences during the internship, and discuss the importance of the library as a ‘third place’ in the community of Adendorf.
