About ORCID

ORCID is a non-profit organization that provides unique identifiers for researchers. These so-called ORCID-IDs help to identify publications and other research products and their researchers. ORCID itself aims to become the de facto standard for scientific author identification.
REPOSIT supports the linking of ORCID-iDs and REPOSIT profiles. This means that your publications can be correctly assigned even if there is a change of name, name variation or different spelling. In principle, ORCID also supports the synchronisation with institutional repositories and research information systems, such as REPOSIT, so that publication data do not have to be entered twice. This automatic synchronization is currently not yet possible, but is planned.
You can decide for yourself if you want to register with ORCID and if you want to link your REPOSIT profile to ORCID-iD.
