Die Anwendung des Storytellings und die Spezifität der Filmproduktion in Bezug auf Krebskrankheiten in Form des Dokumentarfilmes "Fare Well"

Abstract

Die Arbeit „Die Anwendung des Storytellings und die Spezifität der Filmproduktion in Bezug auf Krebskrankheiten in Form des Dokumentarfilmes "Fare Well"" untersucht die Anwendbarkeit der Methodik Storytelling auf die Schnittphase von Dokumentarfilmen. Die Methode wird hauptsächlich im Bereich Marketing angewendet. Als Hauptbeispiel wird der Film „Fare Well“ verwendet, welcher den Alltag in der Abteilung der palliativen Medizin im Universitätsklinikum Kiel anhand einer Patientin und eines Pflegers zeigt. In der Masterthesis werden Themen wie die Geschichte des Storytellings, Aufbau eines Filmes, Kriterien für gute Geschichten, Sinnlichkeit, Authentizität, Archetypus, Spannung, Relevanz und Emotionen aufgegriffen, detailliert beschrieben, erklärt und in Bezug auf den Film in Frage gestellt.

The paper "The application of storytelling and the specificity of film production in regard to the depiction of cancer diseases in the form of the documentary "Fare Well"" examines the applicability of the methods of storytelling, which are mainly used in the field of marketing, to the editing phase of documentary films. The film "Fare Well" deals with cancer diseases at the University Clinic Kiel and is used as the main example in this case study. Topics like the history of storytelling, the structure of a film, criteria for good stories, sensuality, authenticity, archetype, tension, relevance and emotions are described in detail, explained and questioned.
