Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit war es, die Akzeptanz und den Nutzen von Lebensmittel-Informations-Apps aus Verbrauchersicht zu erforschen. Im theoretischen Teil wurde zu anfangs aufgezeigt, warum eine App als Informationsmedium praktisch und zeitgemäß ist. Die Veränderung der Konsumentenbedürfnisse innerhalb der letzten 50 Jahren wurde beschrieben und es wurde erläutert wodurch sich der heutige bewusste Konsument auszeichnet. Anschließend wurde dann das Konzept Lebensmittel-Informations-App sowie namhafte Apps vorgestellt. Anhand einer empirischen Erhebung wurde die Bekanntheit, das tatsächliche Nutzungsbild sowie der potenzielle Nutzen der Apps in Bezug auf Motive und Funktionen geprüft. Die Erhebung erfolgte in Form einer Online-Umfrage, an der größtenteils Studenten teilnahmen. Die Antworten zeigten, dass den Befragten Lebensmittel-Informations-Apps zwar weitgehend bekannt sind, jedoch eine generelle Akzeptanz noch fehlt. Rund drei Viertel der Teilnehmer hat eine solche App noch nie genutzt. Bei den App-Nutzern gaben viele an diese lediglich mal getestet zu haben, nur die wenigsten konnten als aktive App-Nutzer ausgemacht werden. Dass Lebensmittel-Informations-Apps zumindest theoretisch einen Nutzen haben, konnte aufgezeigt werden. Ebenso wurden mögliche Gründe für das bisherige Ausbleiben einer aktiven App-Nutzung analysiert. Viele Funktionen solcher Apps wurden von den Befragten als nützlich bezeichnet und decken sich mit den ermittelten Motiven für eine potenzielle App-Nutzung.

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to investigate the acceptance and benefits of food information apps from the consumer's point of view. In the theoretical part, it was shown at the beginning why an app is practical and timely as an information medium. The change in consumer needs within the last 50 years was described and what distinguishes today's conscious consumer. The concept of food information apps and well-known apps were then introduced. An empirical survey was used to examine the awareness, actual usage patterns, and potential benefits of the apps in terms of motives and functions. The survey took the form of an online survey in which mostly students participated. The responses showed that while respondents are largely aware of food information apps, general acceptance is still lacking. Around three-quarters of participants have never used such an app. Among the app users, many stated that they had only tested them once, and only a few could be identified as active app users. It was shown that food information apps are useful, at least in theory. Possible reasons for the lack of active app use were also analyzed. Many functions of such apps were described as useful by the respondents and coincide with the motives identified for potential app use. |
