dc.description.abstractIn this short paper, we discuss the application ofFIDO2 to enable passwordless authentication in the Internet ofThings. As a base, we introduce the first FIDO2 implementationinto RIOT and present a brief system benchmark. Furthermore,we sketch the integration of FIDO2 on top of LoRaWAN to allowfor lightweight authentication via a long-range, low-data rateaccess network in the future.en
