Katharina und Luisa : ein Kinderbuch zum Thema Depression

Abstract

Das Bundesgesundheitsministerium betitelt Depression als sogenannte Volkskrankheit und erklärt, dass schätzungsweise 16 bis 20 von 100 Menschen im Laufe ihres Lebens mindestens einmal an einer Depression oder einer chronisch depressiven Verstimmung erkranken. Trotz der weiten Verbreitung der Krankheit bleibt sie ein Tabu-Thema, was wiederum Verschlechterungen für Betroffene zur Folge hat. Um das Thema kindgerecht aufzuarbeiten und greifbar zu machen, wird die fiktive Geschichte von den Zwillingen „Katharina und Luisa“ erzählt, in der Katharina mit einer Grippe und Luisa mit einer depressiven Episode zu kämpfen hat. Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit ist die Aufbereitung des Themas mit Hilfe verschiedener dramaturgischer Mittel.

The German Federal Ministry of Health describes depression as a common disease and states that an estimated 16 to 20 out of every 100 people will suffer from depression or chronic depressive mood at least once in their lifetime. Despite the widespread prevalence of the disease, it remains a taboo subject, which in turn leads to deterioration for those affected. In order to make the topic accessible to children, the fictional story of the twins "Katharina and Luisa" was developed, in which Katharina has to deal with the flu and Luisa with a depressive episode. The gaol of this bachelor thesis is to process the topic with the help of different dramaturgical devices.
