Shared Guide Dog 4.0 für Blinde : ein Projekt der HAW Hamburg

Abstract

Ein auf Blinde und Sehbehinderte abzielendes Forschungsprojekt der HAW Hamburg erregt „Aufsehen“, weil ein mittels Industrie 4.0 Technologie entstehender „digitaler Blindenhund“ die wesentlichen Navigationsfunktionen eines Blindenführhunds im urbanen Nahfeld nachempfinden soll. Dieses Projekt wird von der Hamburger Investitions- und Förderbank gefördert.

A research project at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg needs to be looked at closer: It comes up with a technical assistence system for the blind and visually impaired to support their navigation in urban areas. The system is to provide some of the key navigation functions of a guide dog, using industry 4.0 technology. Just like sharing a bike, it shall be used by several people. This project is funded by IFB Hamburg.
