dc.description.abstract	This paper is a practical introduction into immersive photography, 3d rendering and postproduction of images and videos suited for the web. The scope includes topics such as human interaction, technological status quo of visual VR, AR and mixed media use cases for educational, scientific and entertaining purposes. The main research is followed by practical examples based on the documentation of one large virtual reality project developed by the author over a period of six months. To conclude an outlook on the massification of VR in the web and VR social media is discussed along with information about the latest and upcoming VR experiences for the masses.	en
