Abstract:
This presentation summarizes the findings of a master’s thesis that developed a techno-economic model to evaluate the levelized cost of energy (LCoE) for 20 MW multirotor wind turbines. The study places a particular focus on mass scaling laws to assess how key component costs evolve with system size. The results offer insights into the economic viability of multirotor concepts compared to conventional single-rotor systems of equal rated power, particularly in offshore applications.
