dc.description.abstractThe presentation introduces to aircraft preliminary design and optimization. Existing equations for the estimation of Specific Fuel Consumption, SFC are investigated. The Herrmann Model is selected for futher calculations. The aircraft design methodology is an extension to the Preliminary Sizing Tool (PreSTo), implemented into Microsoft Excel. Optimization was done with a high-level commercial optimization software, Optimus. Using the Airbus A320, different dependencies of parameters are explained.en
