Konzepte zur Motivation von Schülerinnen für die Informatik

Abstract

Diese Arbeit zeigt, welche Bemühungen bereits stattgefunden haben, um Kinder und Jugendliche, insbesondere Mädchen für die Informatik zu begeistern. Die VRGalerie als Plattform ist die Grundlage für Workshops zu Themen aus der Informatik. Dadurch sollen die Teilnehmerinnen in kleinen Schritten an die Grundlagen und damit an die wesentlichen Konzepte herangeführt werden, für die die Informatik steht. In einem Beispielworkshop zeigt das »Graphentheorieland «, in Form einer virtuellen Welt, wie Graphen aufgebaut sind. Zudem lernen die Teilnehmerinnen durch die Kon guration der VRGalerie, wie der Zustand von Anwendungen in Objekten festgehalten werden kann.

This work shows what e orts have already been taken to inspire children and young people, especially girls, towards computer science. The VRGalerie is a platform and the basis for computer science related workshops. In this way, the participants are to be introduced in small steps to the elementary concepts and thus, to the foundational principles, for which computer science stands. An example workshop, »Graphentheorieland«, takes the form of a virtual world and shows how graphs are constructed. In addition, the participants learn through the con guration of the VRGalerie how the state of applications can be stored in objects.
